Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

In short: your PDFs and images are processed on your own device and are never uploaded. Dev PDF uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular; that service sets cookies and receives your page address, browser type, approximate location and similar technical details — never your files or what is inside them. Apart from that, the only data that leaves your browser is what you choose to type into the suggestion form.

1. Your files

When you select a file, your browser reads it into its own memory and the tool processes it with JavaScript running on your device. The file and the result are not sent to Dev PDF, to Arpit Dev, or to any third party. Closing or refreshing the page discards them. Results are offered as downloads created locally by your browser.

2. What is stored on your device

  • Your light/dark theme choice (localStorage).
  • A timestamp after you send a suggestion, used only to prevent accidental double-sending.
  • If you install Dev PDF as an app, a small service worker is registered by your browser so the site can be installed. It does not store your PDFs or anything you type. You can remove it at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Dev PDF itself sets no cookies and has no user accounts (Google Analytics sets its own cookies, see section 3). If you install Dev PDF as an app, the only difference is that your device adds a shortcut to the same website; no extra data is collected.

3. Analytics, ads and third-party code

Google Analytics. Every page loads the Google tag (Google Analytics 4) to measure visits: which pages are opened, from which country or city (approximate), on what kind of device and browser, and for how long. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) in your browser and Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. Dev PDF does not send the contents or names of your PDFs, images or text to Google Analytics, and the tools work the same if you block it (for example with a browser privacy setting, an ad blocker or the opt-out add-on Google provides). If you live where consent is required, please use your browser’s controls to decline cookies.

There are currently no advertisements on Dev PDF. All other code and fonts are served from this site itself; Dev PDF does not load anything from external CDNs. The pages include a Content Security Policy that restricts which servers their code may contact — only this site, Google Analytics and Google’s mail script used for the suggestion form. If advertising is added later, this policy will be updated first.

3a. Listen to PDF

This tool uses your browser’s built-in speech synthesis. Some browsers offer online voices (for example, certain Google or Microsoft voices) that send the text being spoken to the browser vendor’s service. If that matters to you, choose a voice labelled as local/offline, or don’t use this tool for confidential text.

3b. Sign, Draw, Redact and Fill tools

Signatures, drawings, typed text, pictures you add and form answers exist only in your browser’s memory while the page is open. They are not uploaded and are not saved anywhere by Dev PDF; closing or refreshing the page discards them. A signature picture you create is used only to place it on your own PDF.

4. Suggest a Tool and contact messages

If you use the suggestion form, the information you type (the type of message, tool or feature name, details, and your email if you give one), the page you sent it from, and basic browser information are delivered by email to Arpit Dev at arpitdev.pro@gmail.com through a small Google Apps Script running in the owner’s own Google account, so it is handled by Google (Gmail) under Google’s privacy policy and is not passed to any other service. I use it only to read, reply to, and improve Dev PDF; I don’t sell or share it. Your email address is optional. To have a message deleted, email arpitdev.pro@gmail.com.

If you email me directly, I receive whatever you send, along with your email address.

5. Hosting logs

Dev PDF is delivered by a web host. Like any host, it may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, requested page and browser type) for security and operations, according to the host’s own policy. These logs do not contain your files.

6. Children

Dev PDF is a general-purpose tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated.
