About Analyze PDF: free, private and in your browser
Analyze PDF gives you a clear report of what is inside a PDF: the number of pages and their sizes, document information, fonts, images, annotations, form fields, bookmarks, attachments, JavaScript and whether the pages look scanned or contain selectable text. You can download the report as a text file. The inspection runs in your browser, so the document is never uploaded and stays private. It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark, and it changes nothing in your file. This is useful for troubleshooting a PDF that is unexpectedly large, checking whether a document will work with text extraction, confirming that hidden data is gone after cleaning, or understanding why a form does not respond. If a file is damaged or protected with a password, the tool explains that it cannot be opened. To reduce size, use Compress PDF, to remove hidden data, use Clean PDF, and to change the title or author, use Edit Metadata. Results depend on how the PDF was created.
