About Add Watermark: free, private and in your browser

Add Watermark places a line of text across the pages of a PDF, for example “Confidential”, “Draft” or a company name. Choose the text, size, colour, opacity, angle and layout, centred or tiled, and apply it to all pages or a selection. The process runs in your browser, so the document is never uploaded and stays private. It is free, needs no sign-up and does not add any Dev PDF branding of its own. Watermarks are useful for marking drafts, labelling a sample, identifying who a copy was sent to, or branding handouts. Text can be repeated in a tiled pattern for stronger coverage, and Hindi or other non-Latin text is drawn as a picture so it displays correctly. A watermark placed this way becomes part of the page, so keep your original in case you need a clean version. For a visible ID or signature on a single page, Sign PDF and Draw & Annotate give more control. Large files depend on your device’s memory.
